Middle school academic programme

Middle school · Grades 5–8

An academic journey that deepens in every grade

In our middle school programme, students learn by moving between classrooms according to their lessons, with subject teachers. This structure supports the development of academic discipline while also strengthening students' ability to take responsibility.

Our school is affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and teaching follows the curriculum set by MEB. Core subjects and subject lessons are taught in an interdisciplinary relationship with one another and with nature.

Key features of the programme

  • Teaching in subject classrooms by subject teachers
  • Gradual preparation for the LGS process from grade 5
  • A learning process supported by study sessions
  • A teaching staff experienced in their field
  • Regular tracking of academic and social-emotional development

There is a single class in each grade; class size is limited to a maximum of 20 students.

Individual development andacademic tracking

Students' academic and social-emotional development is documented regularly. Through this tracking, students are supported in line with their interests, strengths and developmental needs.

The aim is not to compare students but to enable each student to show their own potential under the right conditions. Students are prepared not only for exams but also for high school life and their future academic journeys as conscious and well-equipped individuals.

To keep student–school–parent cooperation working well, our team includes an expert psychologist. Our psychologist works closely with students during lessons, at break times or in different areas of the school, and keeps up communication with parents and teachers.

Language, art, music and IT

Foreign language education is delivered through a strong, structured programme; our English teachers are native speakers and graduates of an English language teaching degree.

With a view of technology as something to produce rather than consume, art, music, philosophy, sport and IT lessons and practical life activities complete a learning approach that centres on working with real materials and interacting with nature.
