Transparent and Regular Communication

A child can discover their own nature only when the same language of trust is spoken at home and at school. Through open, regular and transparent communication with our families, we make room for every child to flourish at their own pace; on this journey of growth, we walk together as school and family.

  • K12NET PortalAcademic progress, attendance, meal menus and daily/weekly announcements are shared transparently and in real time through our parent portal.
  • Individual Parent MeetingsPlanned appointments are held throughout the term to review the child’s social, emotional and academic progress.
  • Open-Door ApproachWe offer an accessible structure through which you can contact the school management and the guidance unit directly whenever you need to.

Getting to School and School Buses

Our school is about a 20-minute drive from Yenişehir and the city centre. Because our route to campus runs against the city’s morning and evening rush-hour traffic, our school buses are largely unaffected by congestion and travel calmly and smoothly.

With bus routes planned in a balanced way across different parts of Mersin, we aim for our children to start the day with a safe and peaceful journey, without spending long periods in traffic.

No Canteen, but a Kitchen

Every plate we put on the table on our campus is more than a meal; it is a learning space that supports our children’s healthy growth and their respect for the soil and for work.

There is no canteen and no sale of ready-made snacks at our school. We consciously keep our children away from packaged, highly processed products containing additives. From breakfast to the afternoon meal, we prepare every meal of the school day in our own kitchen with fresh, carefully chosen ingredients.

With seasonal produce, balanced menus planned for the developmental needs of each age group and kitchen practices that reduce waste, we help our children build a sustainable approach to food. We look together for the answer to “Where does our food come from, and how does it reach our table?” in the kitchen, in the garden and in the soil.

Our Nutrition and Kitchen Principles

Canteen-free campusWe have no canteen selling packaged, processed products with additives. All main meals and snacks are prepared in our school kitchen.
Our own kitchenOur meals are not brought in ready-made; they are cooked fresh every day by our own team in the kitchen on our campus.
Seasonal produceWe eat vegetables and fruit in their natural season wherever possible.
No additivesWe do not use industrial products such as stock cubes, ready-made sauces, artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
Fresh meatWe buy our meat fresh from trusted local butchers. Frozen or processed delicatessen products have no place on our menu.
Natural drinksInstead of packaged fruit juices and fizzy drinks, we serve homemade compote and ayran.

From Soil to Plate: Our Natural Food Cycle

From garden to tableOur children take part in planting, tending and harvesting seasonal vegetables in the school garden. What they pick adds flavour to the salads and dishes prepared in our school kitchen.
The food forest in the gardenThanks to the fruit trees on our campus, our children enjoy picking fruit from the branch and tasting it straight from the source.
Coop and fresh eggsOur children collect the eggs of the chickens and ducks in the school coop and connect directly with where food comes from.
Preparing for winter togetherAt the end of summer we shell peas and borlotti beans with our students and store them for the winter months. We make jams with no additives from strawberries and homemade preserves from summer tomatoes in our kitchen.
A circular way of lifeFood scraps are sorted and given to the animals on our campus. Organic waste is turned into compost and returned to our vegetable garden. Used vegetable oil is handed over to licensed recycling companies for biodiesel production.

Academic Calendar

As our school is affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB), the opening and closing dates of the school year, mid-term breaks and the semester break follow the working calendar that MEB announces each year.
